This project aims at gaining knowledge for decisive improvements in the physical performance and thus also significant extensions of the maintenance intervals of oil-treated wood surfaces by engineering the property profile of coating oils through the addition of nano-cellulose. The project is run under the direction of BOKU, Institut für Holztechnologie und Nachwachsende Rohstoffe. Holzforschung Austria works on the focus area of characterising the performance potential of the surfaces.
