Colour stabilisation of wood surfaces
Taking different wood species into consideration, treatments and coatings for wood and veneered wood-based panels are to be developed which minimize colour changes as a result of environmental factors. Methods are to be developed which will indicate potential negative effects prior to processing. Such negative effects may then be counteracted using the methods under development. Information on the methods resulting from these investigations will be made available to wood processors as a technical datasheet or brochure.
