Some complexing agents used in the pulp and paper industry fail to meet the environmental requirements and must be replaced in accordance with the statutory deadlines. On the one hand, the project provides chemical analytical methods that result in better knowledge of the process conditions and enable optimization and therefore reduction in the use of complexing agents. On the other hand, efforts are being made to improve the situation by identifying alternatives and accelerating the degradation of complexing agents. This is intended to ensure the use of exclusively environmentally friendly substances.
