Environmental declarations of construction products (Environmental Product Declaration, EPD) are becoming increasingly important in the construction sector, not least due to the standardization efforts of the CEN TC 350 “Sustainability of construction works”. The current European standards still leave essential content of EPDs open, which must be specified in the general programme instructions and in the product category rules.

The subject of the present research project is the creation of the general programme instructions for the EPD platform: Basic document, general rules for life cycle assessment, general instructions for determining emissions from construction products.
