EURODECK
Wooden decking for terraces, balconies, etc. is one of the most important outdoor applications for solid wood. Lack of normative bases, high demands are often placed on these highly stressed components, for which suitable evaluation methods only exist in isolated cases. In this international project, in cooperation with the Institut für Holztechnologie Dresden (IHD) existing quality criteria as well as related testing and assessment methods are summarized and missing assessment methods are developed. As a result, a user guide was published that defines the requirements depending on the planned use and describes them in a practical manner.
