Very dry room conditions such as those often found in buildings in low-energy and passive house construction with ventilation systems without air humidification pose a particular challenge for wooden floors. Underfloor heating can exacerbate the strain even more. The project aims at developing methods for the quality assessment of multi-layer parquet floors in terms of surface quality, climate resistance and adhesion quality. With two associations, approx. 30 companies and two research institutes (IHD and HFA), this is a unique international platform for discussion and cooperation.
