To participate in Horizon Europe, Holzforschung Austria needs to have a Gender Equality Plan (GEP). In this project, we have developed a GEP with the aim to increase female leadership. The institute appointed an equal opportunity officer and was conducting workshops to increase gender awareness. We also started a coaching and mentoring program to promote career oriented female researchers. We were working closely with an external gender expert. The GEP will be monitored and evaluated on a yearly basis and where necessary adapted. The project was funded by the Talents-program of the Federal Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology.
