This three-year research project dealt with the connection between wood as a building material and healthy living. The development of emissions in the interior of wooden houses was examined, houses that had been newly built and recently moved into. In addition, the well-being of the residents was documented by means of questionnaires and orienting medical examinations. Another aspect concerned the haptic perception of material surfaces. As part of a volunteer study, various wood and non-wood surfaces in different temperature ranges were assessed and compared.
