Holzforschung Austria – Austrian Forest Products Research Society (HFA-ÖGH) was founded in 1948. With about 100 employees, Holzforschung Austria is the largest research and testing institute for wood in Austria.

Holzforschung Austria strives to make its website, which is geared towards B2B services, as accessible as possible in accordance with the Accessibility Act (BaFG) implementing the European Accessibility Directive (RL 2019/882). Our goal is to provide all users with the easiest possible access to our content and to ensure that they are treated equally.
Current status
This website is currently **partially accessible**. Some content does not yet meet all the requirements of the applicable guidelines.
These include in particular
- missing alternative texts for older images
- insufficient colour contrast in certain areas
- isolated problems with keyboard navigation
- PDF documents that are not accessible
Planned
We are currently working on specific adjustments to our website to meet the essential requirements of digital accessibility in accordance with the Accessibility Act (BaFG).
Implementation will be gradual and based on the minimum legal standards, particularly with regard to content that is perceivable, operable and understandable for all users.
