Based on the challenging case study of the "Hinteralmhaus replacement construction," the Kon-Wert research project is developing innovative circular strategies for replacement construction and restoration projects, thus forming the basis for long-term implementation in construction practice. The project is exploring new ways to transform slightly contaminated waste wood into safe reuse timber construction products by means of minimally invasive methods. On site or regional reuse contributes to the conservation of valuable resources and the prevention of cost and CO2 intensive transport routes.
